Contract or Full-time
Remote (Australia / NZ timezone)
Due to recent growth, we’re now looking for a developer to join our team and help us to deliver a number of exciting new features and integrations.
Our tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, MySQL, RSpec, Cucumber, Capybara, Redis, Sphinx/Manticore, SideKiq and jQuery
Craftybase is an inventory and bookkeeping solution focussed on the specific needs of small, independent handmade sellers. We're a small, nimble company working remotely across the globe and our mission is to help small makers achieve big things. We are a long-standing (10 years old this year!), stable and proudly independently profitable company that believes in growing a business sustainably and responsibly. To do this, we aim to build products that stand the test of time and serve a real need and purpose - we don't do "growth hacking" or buzzwords here!
You should have ideally have experience in maintaining production-level Ruby on Rails applications for 3 years or more. You'll be expected to write clear, concise, and performant code, along with creating and maintaining our suite of unit and integration tests.
Experience in 3rd party APIs, integrations and feeds is a bonus, as is some experience with bug triage and fixing.
In addition to your technical prowess, you'll need to have great analytical and communication skills, a positive attitude, curiosity and drive to find solutions to problems, the ability to work remotely / manage your time well / take responsibility for getting things done.
You'll preferably be within 3 hours of AEST (Melbourne, Australia) so you can participate in our daily standups, code reviews and most importantly feel like a proper part of our small team.
At Craftybase, we strongly believe in diversity and equality and thus encourage people from all backgrounds, abilities, experiences and ages to apply.
Introduce yourself by sending an email through to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with your resume, hourly rate / desired salary and links that best show off some of the things you have been recently working on.
